PDX Construction Updates
Hello. We're glad you're here. If you haven't flown in a while, you'll notice that PDX looks a little different; that's because 60% of our new main terminal opened in August 2024, and the other 30% is opening now.
Here's what you need to know:
Construction map
Visit our airport map, which highlights some of the changes in the ticket lobby and baggage claim. The concourse connector, or shortcut between concourses after security, has reopened, but you'll still save time by following the signs to the security checkpoint associated with your gate.

Pre-security changes
Peet's Coffee & Tea is in Baggage Claim, and The Country Cat, Portland Coffee Roasters, and Loyal Legion are open in the ticket hall and mezzanine. For shopping, Ecovibe, Mikiko Mochi Donuts, Paper Epiphanies, and Hello From Portland are all open pre-security as well.
Concourse Connector
The concourse connector is now open! Travelers will continue to save time by using the security checkpoint at their boarding gate.
The D/E security checkpoint is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. The B/C security checkpoint is closed from 10:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
Yes. All connecting passengers at PDX can use the Express Lane. If you are approved for TSA PreCheck, you can also use that lane in PDX.
