Traveling with Pets

The safety and health of all pets traveling through Portland International Airport is important to us. All animals, with the exception of service dogs, must be kept within their travel carriers while inside the airport terminal. While outside the terminal building all pets must be leashed.

The airport provides an outdoor pet relief area adjacent to the Lost and Found office on the airport´s baggage claim level. Exit the terminal from the corridor adjacent to the Lost and Found office and cross the street to the pet relief area. Animals must be leashed when using the pet relief area, which is well lit and covered with bark dust.
